Youth peace ambassadors - Initiative in Bosnia Herzegovina

On 19th of April 2012, at the Faculty of Political Science in Sarajevo, ''Youth Peace Ambassadors'' in cooperation with Faculty of Political Sciences of University of Sarajevo organised a panel discussion ''10 years of Bosnia and Herzegovina joining Council of Europe and position of youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina''.Speakers from ''Youth Peace Ambassadors'' were Emil Balavac, Damjan Jugovic and Ervin Tokic. From Council of Europe was present Mary Ann Hennessey, Head of Office of Council of Europe in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

From Council of Europe was present Mary Ann Hennessey, Head of Office of Council of Europe in Bosnia and Herzegovina.The main topics during the discussion were: changes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, obligations Bosnia and Herzegovina had when joined Council of Europe, improvement of position of youth over the last ten years, presentation of project of Council of Europe ''Youth Peace Ambassadors'', possibilities for funding youth projects by European Youth Foundation and internships at Council of Europe.Young people present at the panel discussion took a very active part and asking many questions, most related to the project ''Youth Peace Ambassadors'' and possibilities of funding projects by European Youth Foundation.The event was also covered with media presence, among them were Radio Free Europe, newspaper Oslobodjenje.
